The MS Excel-based tool ‘Financial Impact Assessment for Zero-Emission Trucks (Fi-ZET) has been developed to assess the financial viability of replacing a diesel-powered internal combustion engine (ICE) truck with a zero-emission electric truck (ZET). The tool is a flexible, transparent, and user-friendly solution for conducting a preliminary financial comparison between an electric truck and a diesel truck. The Tool provides comprehensive financial outputs — such as payback period, total cost of ownership, annual earnings and cash flow projections — while enabling users to simulate the impact of policy incentives and operational scenarios.
