Connect Karo Awards 2018

WRI India Ross Center invites applications from leading and emerging players in the field of sustainable mobility to apply for the Connect Karo Awards 2018. The Awards will be presented at the Connect Karo Conference to be held in New Delhi on 4-6 April 2018.

The theme for this year’s awards is “Universal Access”.

Close to 15% of the world’s population lives with a physical disability. This section of the population is unable to contribute to the society or economy to the fullest, often due to the social exclusion perpetuated by a poorly designed built environment. Physical infrastructure, which denies access to basic services such as sanitation, water, health, transportation etcetera severely restricts the mobility of physically disadvantaged groups, which include the elderly. The Connect Karo Awards 2018 look to acknowledge bold, innovative and effective initiatives implemented by organizations which strive to overcome this shortcoming and improve access to services and built environment.
